Agastache aurantiaca 'Apricot Sprite' or Hyssop or Jewel of the Sierra or Orange Hummingbird Mint is a fabulous perennial plant with an upright, compact growth habit.  In mid-Summer, it constantly bears small, fragrant apricot, tubular flowers, followed later by seeds. Hummingbirds, butterflies and bees are magnetized by the nectar-rich blossoms.  Agastache aurantiaca 'Apricot Sprite' has herbaceous green foliage.  It is easily propogated from seeds and thrives best in well-drained, mildly acidic, alkaline or neutral soil in a sunny location.  Mass plant for a terrific display in perennial borders and it can also be used in containers.  It tolerates drought well and is low maintenance.  The anise-scented flowers are a welcome sight in the Summer landscape.
