‘Lady in Red’ is a cultivar that typically grows slightly smaller (18-30” tall) and features elliptic lacy light green fronds with contrasting burgundy-red stipes. Easily grown in humusy, organically rich, medium moisture, well-drained soil in part shade to full shade. Best sited in sheltered locations. Soil must not be allowed to dry out. Naturalizes well by creeping rhizomes and can form colonies in optimum growing conditions. No serious insect or disease problems. Good to use in woodland gardens, shade gardens or shaded border fronts.
