Description:

♦ Zones:  3 - 9     Height:  24 - 36"     Exposure:  Full Sun ♦

Achillea paprika has finely dissected green leaves. The fragrant foliage grows 8-12" tall. The clear fire engine red blooms are most prevalent in the spring and into the early summer. The flowers gradually fade to cream and then brown. The clump gradually spreads by underground runners and is easily divided. I have yet to see damage due to cold. It does look very bedraggled while enduring, but can withstand a summer of drought in our inland valleys. Achillea paprika is a nectar source and is a great addition to a butterfly garden.
