Aster dumosus Michaelmas Daisy

Aster dumosus 'Woods Pink'

Michaelmas Daisy

♦ Zones:  5 - 8     Height:  12 - 18"     Exposure:  Full Sun ♦

A member of the dumosus family or New York Aster, Wood's Pink is a sure bet for autumn color. The plant is covered in clusters of clear pink, semi-double flowers that first start to appear in August and continue through October.  All Wood's Aster selections are powdery mildew and rust resistant, a common problem with other Asters.  Plant in full sun for best results.  The plant will grow in light shade but tends to flower less and growth will not be as compact.  Use Asters in the perennial garden to add color in those last few months of the growing season.
