Astilbe ‘Montgomery’ has large, full trusses of dark red plumes and green foliage that emerges bronze in spring.  Good in pots and tubs.  Nice colorful landscape accent and mass planting in moist areas, such as around pools.  An herbaceous perennial.  Astilbes produce airy plumes in summer that move with the slightest breeze.  Effective anywhere with rich moist soil and partial to full shade.
